Community or Business Edition? Which should I choose?
OPNsense is an open-source firewall solution, meaning whether you install it as a Virtual Appliance, or own a Physical Appliance, you can choose to use the firewall firmware completely free-of-charge with the OPNsense Community Edition. For business use, and where security is paramount, we always recommend OPNsense Business Edition. This paid version of OPNsense lags behind the Community firmware repository, meaning that any bugs or security vulnerabilities discovered in the Community Edition can be caught before they are introduced to the Business Edition. Plus, you’ll get access to a FREE GeoIP Database, FREE Official Virtualisation Image and FREE Professional Plugins (OPNCentral, Proxy Access).
